1099 Contract Position
About Gold Titan Management:
With significant growth in recent months, Gold Titan is looking for new team members to help with staffing events. Officially starting business under the Gold Titan brand in 2022, we are a unique management company with clients in various industries. We service travel, event, hospitality, publishing, talent, and advertising clients; with a specialty focus on practical astrology-integrated planning and experiential astrology vendor services for private and corporate events.
With expansion of our business into new industries and regions, our staffing needs are evolving and growing. As experiential astrology gains popularity and we service more corporate event clients (like brand activations & conference events), we have an increasing need for qualified, professional astrologers to be on call to staff these events, sometimes at an astronomical scale.
About the position:
We are looking to recruit multiple practicing astrologers for the role of Experiential Astrologer, Private & Corporate Events. As an Event Astrologer, you’ll be responsible for providing experiential entertainment to private and corporate event clients in the form of live astrology birth chart reading consultations.
Whether a guest is looking for genuine insight from a trusted professional astrologer, or they just want to “see what this astrology stuff is all about,” you have the discernment to custom-tailor readings to the level of detail, intricacy, and intimacy that is appropriate for each individual and their respective levels of interest and comfort.
You understand that some clients and guests view the planets as floating rocks and balls of gas that exhibit some statistical correlations between significant events and planetary alignments, while others view them as divine spiritual entities who pull the strings of fate and cause events to happen.
Regardless of your personal beliefs, you have the ability to service both of these opposing client/guest profiles (and everyone in between), and to discern where on the spectrum each client/guest falls in order to deliver the most appropriate, personalized service based on the needs and comfort level of the individual guest/client.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for transporting yourself to and from events in your area or local region.
Vendor booth/table set up and break down before and after events, which will vary based on the event type and the clients’ needs.
For most intimate or casual events, this will include setup of your computer equipment, a tablecloth, basic lighting (1 hour MAX).
Sometimes this will include other vendor booth infrastructure such as queue ropes, more complex lighting design, physical pop-up builds or decorative backdrops if commissioned by the client for higher budget event designs, which will also include assistance from other event staff. You will never be asked to set up a brand activation alone.
Please note: any event requiring more than 1 hour of setup will include additional compensation for billable event staffing hours.
Providing personalized birth chart reading consultations to guests at events.
For smaller events (guests with less than 10 guests) readings will be longer, more detailed, and include analysis and delineation of multiple planets, aspects, and house placements (30+ minutes each).
For mid-sized events (10-50 guests), readings will be shorter, less detailed, and include analysis and delineation of only a handful of planets, aspects, and house placements (5-10 minutes each).
Communication and cooperation with other astrology staff.
Large events (50+ guests) may be staffed with a team of multiple astrologers to accommodate crowd sizes, so cooperation and communication with other team members is crucial for logistical efficiency when working larger events.
Some massive-scale events (1,000+ guests) may even require as short as 2 minute micro-readings to accommodate supply and demand constraints. These events operate more as a brand awareness tool than as functional consultations.
Requirements:
You are legally authorized to work in the United States.
You have a computer or device to display astrology charts, including proper charging/batteries/power cords sufficient to last the duration of events. As an independent contractor, we cannot provide you with any equipment.
You have access to a legally licensed, fully functional and up-to-date professional astrology software (MUST be either AstroGold or Solar Fire) (This does not include TimePassages, AstroSeek, AstroDatabank, or AI-generated astrology notification apps).
You are legally licensed to drive a vehicle, or have access to a car or other vehicle that can reliably transport you and your computer/equipment for vendor setup.
You have the ability to travel, to attend events in your area/region.
You have great communication and time management skills.
You have a foundational knowledge of astrology, including both traditional hellenistic traditions and basic modern astrology concepts.
You are a practicing astrologer, who regularly reads charts for others in a consultation setting.
You have professional experience in a customer service role, where you were responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor when interacting with customers or clients, and maintaining high standards of quality when delivering services, products, or customer care (at least 12 months).
You have professional experience working with confidential and sensitive personal information, and have experience implementing precautionary measures to protect sensitive data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
You are available to attend short meetings (not billable) with the Gold Titan Management team and event clients to ensure aligned expectations before accepting a contract, and to ensure client satisfaction before closing off on a fulfilled contract.

You have 3+ years of professional experience working in a customer service role, especially in any management capacity.
You have experience working in hospitality.
You have experience coordinating or managing events.
You have experience working as a vendor, either at events, expos/conventions, or independent market events.
You have specialized astrology knowledge, or apply specialized astrology techniques in your practice.
You practice locational astrology, or astrology-integrated business planning.
You have a social media presence, and a proficient working knowledge of social media platforms like Tiktok, Youtube, Instagram, and X/Twitter (or other social media platforms).
You are open to traveling outside of your local area/region for larger events in other states, or even other countries outside of the USA.
You have a valid passport that is maintained and renewed at least 6 months before its expiration date (to ensure eligibility for international event bookings).
You have any Astrology certifications.
You are a licensed mental healthcare professional (therapist, social worker, etc.).
You are a certified herbal or holistic wellness practitioner.
You are a licensed cosmetologist or beauty practitioner.
You have the ability to stand for multiple hours when required, and occasionally lifting objects (up to 50 lbs.).
As an independent contractor role, with some gig opportunities that may involve physical labor like booth and decoration setup, we cannot guarantee any disability accommodations for some specific event roles that do require physical labor.

Recruitment and compensation details:
This is an application to be considered for astrology services recruiting, primarily for surplus event staffing needs, and is not an application for any full time or part time employment position. This role is a 1099 contract position, and compensation will be granted as individual payments, per-event.
Acceptance to the Gold Titan Astrology team as an “available astrologer” for event vendor booking does not imply any guarantee of bookings, priority of bookings, or regularity of bookings, and Gold Titan maintains the right to offer opportunities at our discretion.
Acceptance to the Gold Titan Astrology team of astrologers (whether as an astrology contractor, or an astrology brand partner) will include a featured profile on our website, links and info about availability for booking (either through our Gold Titan booking calendar, or your own independent business infrastructure), opportunities for collaboration on content and promotion, and of course payment per booking.
As a 1099 contractor, you maintain the right to choose your own hours of availability, decide which gig opportunities to accept, and the right to deny bookings at will.
As as 1099 contractor, we cannot mandate any training, certification, uniforms, or adherence to strict Gold Titan brand guidelines. In our selection of contractors, we will prioritize contractors whose techniques, reputed client satisfaction, and documented performance aligns best with our brand and company objectives. We maintain a thorough vetting process to ensure the highest standards of quality when endorsing astrology service providers to our event clients.
Financial Compensation:
Your Hourly Pay: $100 / hour.
Event duration: 2 - 6 hours of billable time.
Total compensation: $200 - $600 per event
Please note compensation is for time spent providing vendor service during the duration of the event. This does not include time spent traveling, or on set up (about 30 minutes or less) and breakdown (about 30 minutes or less) before and after events.
Any setup/breakdown requiring more than 30 minutes will incur additional billable hours and therefore additional compensation to you).
This means a typical “2 hour event” will require around 3 hours of total work (2 hours of astrology, 1 hour of setup/breakdown), plus time spent traveling to the event (a “half day”).
A typical “6 hour event” may require around 8 hours of total work, plus a break (6 hours of astrology with a break halfway, 2 hours of setup/breakdown), plus time spent traveling to the event (a “full day”).
Please note that these compensation rates are the guaranteed minimum payment for standard event bookings, and higher compensation rates may be available for special projects, specialty service bookings, etc. Other specialized skills, astrology techniques, and premium service offerings may qualify you for additional compensation or higher rates on other contracts.
Income Reporting:
You are also responsible for reporting all income to the appropriate financial organisations such as the IRS or local and state tax organizations, even if you do not meet the payment threshold to be issued a 1099 form.

We are also considering candidates who offer Affiliate Marketing options, so that Gold Titan can refer clients directly to your astrology business for event bookings. We’d love to build out our team, but we’re open to partnering with other astrology vendors too.
